Shadow Climate Minister Ruth Jones to speak at InstallerSHOW

We’re delighted to share that Ruth Jones MP, Shadow Minister for Agri-Innovation and Climate Adaptation, will be joining us at InstallerSHOW next week.

She’ll be talking in the Bathroom Zone, in conversation with Tom Reynolds, CEO of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), talking about the importance of water and energy efficiency on 29th June.

Born and bred on the Gaer in Newport, Ruth spent over 30 years working in the National Health Service, at Nevill Hall Hospital, Panteg Stroke Unit and Serennu Children’s Centre in Newport. She currently works for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). In 2007, Ruth was elected as President of the Wales Trades Union Congress (TUC).

Ruth is Labour MP for Newport West. In her free time she sings in a choir and volunteers at a local Night Shelter scheme in the city.

BMA’s Tom Reynolds said:

Energy and water efficiency, and transformation of the built environment more generally, is vital for the UK’s future. Politicians need to see what’s going on in our sector, listen and help to remove barriers we face. It’s great Ruth is coming along to InstallerSHOW to do that.
