Housing focus at InstallerSHOW 2024

The elemental Housing Hub returns to InstallerSHOW in June. Lucy Dixon picks out a handful of the highlights, covering both newbuild and retrofit.

The Housing Hub is back for InstallerSHOW 2024, with content partners including Herz Valves UK, the National Retrofit Hub and the National Home Improvement Council – the three-day content programme is packed with must-see sessions, including:

  • 10:45am 25th June: Future Homes Standard – will it go far enough? Should we be aiming higher? The panel will discuss the Future Homes Standard and what it will mean for the sustainability of newbuild housing. Speakers include Cala Homes, MCS and City Plumbing.

  • 1:15pm 25th June: Exclusive launch of the 2024 Home Improvement Report. With speakers from Barbour ABI and the National Home Improvement Council.
  • 10:45am 26th June: Innovative approaches to retrofit through the Optimised RetroFit Programme. Speakers from the Welsh government, plus Melin Homes and Flintshire Council will discuss ORP and what other housing providers can learn.

  • 4pm 26th June: Networking drinks with the National Retrofit Hub. The NRH team will be talking about housing retrofit earlier in the day, with speakers from Canopy Housing and Citizens Advice, then you can join them for a drink in the Housing Hub at the end of day.

  • 12pm 27th June: Constructing better, safer homes. Major housebuilders and construction product manufacturers are working together with the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) to raise standards in the industry. Hear from speakers including Persimmon Homes and Sika.
  • 2:15pm 27th June: Protecting retrofit projects from damp and mould. Speakers including Midland Heart will talk about delivering energy-efficient, warm and healthy homes through retrofit.
