Register to attendAn expansion of District Heating projects is a crucial element in the decarbonisation of heating in the UK. According to the government’s Climate Change Committee, a fifth of all heating needs could be met by heat networks by 2050.
With this in mind, the government has made significant funding available, both to build new networks and to improve the efficiency of existing ones, making it an attractive area for use of low-carbon technology.
But as successful delivery of a district heating installation depends on co-ordination between a variety of different disciplines there are a number of challenges to optimising network performance.
