Accessible ensuites and luxurious open spaces

Ahead of this month’s InstallerSHOW – which features a brand new Installer Kitchens & Bathrooms area – we caught up with Impey Showers.

Can you tell us what your product range incorporates?

We offer the complete wetroom system and options for accessible showering. Wetroom floor formers, wetroom tanking, under floor heating and a host of drainage options in addition to a range of carer screens and accessories for tiled and vinyl floors

And who are you main specification customers?

We design innovative, high-quality products which can be used in the property; residential; education; leisure; health and care sectors and we work closely with contractors and installers; architects and specifiers; local authorities and healthcare professionals to provide innovative high-quality wetroom solutions for all end users.

What should specifiers consider before opting for a wetroom?

Specifiers would need to consider regulations to ensure the right application, floor constructions to ensure the correct products and how the wetroom is going to be used and to mindful of the correct apparatus for accessibility if required

What are the advantages of wetrooms, for both the hospitality sector but also social housing?

Wetrooms add luxury, style and visual appeal to a home, and provide the perfect bathroom even in the smallest areas. They create a sense of space, dedicated to accessibility, luxury and relaxation which can’t be achieved with a traditional bath and shower combination.

What trends are big at the moment, both in terms of bathroom design but also technology?

New trends we see are the integration of colour, personalisation and wifi connectivity in underfloor heating. There is a much greater awareness of water saving initiatives and the sustainable specification of wetrooms and bathroom products in relation to British manufacturing and the reduced carbon footprint they offer. Very pleasing to see architects and interior designers specifying baths and wetrooms together using a bath adapter with consideration to the ageing population of the UK.

What’s next for you – any new products you can share with us?

We are proud to show for the first time our Aqua-Dec Linear 1 floor former which completes our quartet of linear formers and offers increased options for accessible ensuites and luxurious open spaces.

How do your products differ from others available on the market?

Our products are designed to ensure that everyone that uses them have the experience that our company was built on, for the installer the unique features are the solutions required to ensure the products can be fitted in all situations, the user gets a wetroom that will last their lifetime that will be low maintenance and trouble free. As the pioneers of wetroom products in the UK we have had a lot of time to evolve our portfolio into what it is today covering all eventualities.

We are a proud UK manufacturer and member of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association. We pride ourselves on second to none product performance and our unmatched customer service. Our wetroom systems come with a lifetime guarantee and have a collection of industry awards across the bathroom and architectural sectors
